Asking the Hard Questions

How are you?

I mean it, how are you? As the world is reemerging, flowers are in bloom, restaurants are full and vacations are a possibility, it is easy to think that life is “back to normal.” But is it? As a coworking space operator, I have been given the opportunity to be a resource to our community throughout this past year and I can say, life is not back to normal; I have noticed there is still some hesitancy towards reengaging with one another. Maybe we are tired, confused or just unclear what our future brings? Whatever it is, we need to take the time to really check in with ourselves and ask the hard questions. Prior to 2020, there were very few world changing events for my generation. The pandemic reminded me that life is precious, tomorrow is not promised, and we are resilient people. So, I ask, how are you? It is so easy to just get back into the hustle of life, re-busy ourselves with all the things that we missed out on for a year. But is that the wisest use of our time? Is it best for our souls? Our relationships? Are there learnings from this past year that you can take with you? Does a slower pace of life allow you to connect with those you care about? As Connects Workspace begins to fill up, we are asking ourselves some questions too. How do we best support our members in their transition back into our new normal? What does true connection look like? If you are looking for a community and workspace that gives you a place to connect and engage, we are here for you. We are more than an amazing place to work! We create the space where community, connections and creativity happen – and where you always have a place at the table.
